Five 23 - 30+ year olds live in a house of multiple occupation. Rickie, unemployed graduate, and his faithful girlfriend, Carol, share one room, Sandy and Jules another. Rebecca, with hippy tendencies, lives in a third. Rickie decides to have an impromptu party to celebrate the first moon landing. Games are played and relationships are tested, against the backdrop of a faulty toilet which the landlord, Feltham, is reluctant to fix.
"I. Uselus" ... an adult pantomime. 15 speaking parts, including 5 small parts taken by chorus members. 90 minutes.
A musical romp through ancient Rome. Based on stock characters in historic Roman comedy, "I, Uselus" tells the story of Uselus, a slave, and his master, Amicus, son of a senator, and his unrequited love for his mother's slave Virgo. Assisted by two turncoat bodyguards of the senator, Cerberus, the 3 headed dog who guards the gates to the Underworld, abducts Virgo and takes her to Hades. Distraught in love, Amicus, with Uselus and friends, enters the Underworld to rescue her.
